This product is really interesting. I bought it because I was super excited to let my grandson watch the egg hatch. When we received the product we grabbed a mason jar and filled it up and put the egg in there. I thought it would be instantly but as I read the instructions it takes 24 hours to hatch and 24 to 48 hours to grow. Being my grandson is super impatient he kind of got a little bit upset. We did watch it grow and it was kind of cool to watch it hatch I would say it only took about 8 hours. After it hatched the little dinosaur came out it was super tiny and I would say within 24 hours probably doubled in size it doesn't get too big it's probably about an inch or two after it fully grows. They are easy to use but really time consuming to actually get the final product.
